Welcome to Rhode Island's premier government transparency website. Using our unique application, you can track government budgets, payrolls, and contracts at the state, municipal and school district levels, as well as comprehensive plans, tax delinquencies, and foreclosures at the municipal level. You will also find a report card on compliance with this transparency initiative, organized by town and school district.

The RISC Foundation has created this website as a service to the citizens and taxpayers of Rhode Island. But, The Money Trail is more than just an information clearinghouse. It is also a platform for taking action to force government accountability and responsibility in accordance with the Access to Public Records ct, Act, R.I. Gen. Laws § 38-2. To that end, and in cooperation with its fine co-sponsoring organizations, this website offers a variety of tools for individual citizens to make their voices heard. Its goal is nothing less than a revolution in the way public business is conducted in Rhode Island.
